Educational Committee of Basra Demanding Oil Disbursement of Funds Allocated to the Sector

Asked for the committee on education in the province of Basra, Oil Ministry disbursement of funds allocated to the education sector contracts within the licenses to develop oil fields in the province, warning of disaster education in the absence of addressing the problem of lack of school buildings.
He called on Chairman of the Committee Salman Daoud Khairallah said in an interview made by the Agency “Alsumaria News”, the oil ministry to “the delivery of local government funds allocated for the development of society and that obtained from the companies that is developing oil fields in the province of Basra in licensing rounds.”
The good God that “every company must be paid under the licensing contracts of five million dollars a year, and that a large proportion of which is supposed to be allocated for the construction and rehabilitation of schools, but the ministry did not agree to spend, what led us recently to ask the House of Representatives to intervene.”
He pointed out that “many rural areas in the province is still lacking for primary schools, and there are rural areas do not include schools in the middle stage,”
For his part, said Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee Ghanem Abdul-Amir said in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “the province of Basra on the verge of disaster education in the absence of speedy resolution of the crisis of the shortage of school buildings that are still aggravated by continuing with the escalation of the pace of population growth,”
Prince Abdullah called the federal government to “implement an immediate plan to build new schools and renovation of old,” asserting that “Basra is need to build at least 700 schools.”
The Prince Abdullah that “this number continues to rise, because the large population growth requires the construction of 10 schools per year at least.”
