Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki decided to appoint National Alliance’s official, Falih al-Fayadh, National Security Advisor.
Source at the NA told NINA on Tuesday, Jan. 11, “Maliki has decided to appoint Legislator from the National Reform Trend, Falih al-Fayadh National Security Advisor.”
He added, “This post will has a big role appointing security ministers and top security officials.”
The source pointed out, “The country is in need for a number of security agencies, when American forces withdraw, to handle Iraq’s security.”
The post was first held by NA official, Mowafaq al-Rubae, until April 2009 and was replaced by Safa’ al-Sheikh.
It is note worthy that Safa al-Sheikh is the National Reform Trends’s second important official after Ibrahim al-Jafari. / End.
