Azzawi said that “The Arab League is still in close contact with all Arab States to convene this meeting to decide on the order of the Arab summit to be held in Baghdad after the Gulf Cooperation Council requested to cancel the Arab Gulf States.”
He said al-Azzawi, “The information that I know that, so far, the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States believes that it will participate in this meeting at the level of foreign ministers if discussed other topics as well as the subject of the Arab summit, but if the meeting will discuss the only item on the Arab summit, it considers that be meeting at the level of permanent delegates. “
It was assumed that the Summit will be held under the chairmanship of Iraq, in 23 of the month of March but was delayed to 29 of the same month, before being postponed to the middle of next May, because of the transformations in the Arab region in light of popular uprisings against regimes in the number of Arab countries.
