Iraq: a proposal to merge the Ministries of Industry and Commerce’s “support” the economy

Baghdad, 7 April (Rn) – Economic Commission proposed in the Iraqi Council of Representatives on Thursday that are merged the Ministries of Trade and Industry’s “support economy” of Iraq through promoting local production.
Said Ahmed al-Alwani, Chairman of the Committee of the Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) “The Committee supports the economic integration of the Ministry of Industry and trade as is the case in all countries of the world’s economically developed and commercially.”
He explained that “a merger between the two ministries will foster the ability of Iraq to support the domestic production as it will enhance the ability of Iraq’s economic economically developed countries in the world.”
Did not rule out Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said in a statement the end of last March that the merging of some ministries, including in the event necessary.
He pointed out that al-Alwani, “Economic Commission proposes the formation of a Ministry for the distribution of card items incorporated in the Ministry of Industry and Trade Ministry to develop the government’s efforts in support of the Iraqi economy.”
It is noteworthy that the parliamentary Economic Committee received 16 laws economically from the Economic Commission earlier.
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has confirmed to host the House of Representatives at the parliamentary session that there are problems and old laws that hinder the advancement of the country’s economic.
House of Representatives did not start until now only two laws are the law of the Vice-President of the Republic and the general budget of the State despite the passage of more than 50 meetings.
