Mass grave found W. Iraq of victims killed between ''80-89
BAGHDAD, Iraqi Human Rights Ministry announced Tuesday discovery of a mass grave in western Iraq containing people killed by the former regime in Baghdad.
Human Rights Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani inspected the mass grave which contained remains of 812 people who were shot in the head between 1980-89, a ministry statement said.
The mass grave contains remains of men, women and children from different ethnicities. "The grave is one of the ugliest crimes of the defunct dictatorship ... and a blatant violation of human rights," said Al-Sudani.
