He attributed the economic expert, Ali al-Kaabi causes of inflation in the country to rising real estate prices, salaries and fees, as well as political developments. Kaabi said to (the citizen) that the increase in prices and salaries, real estate and levies led to rising inflation index, at high rates. He (the appearance of money laundering after 2003 and spread widely thus leading to an increase in inflation), explained (if processors inflation can not be done without the intervention of the state itself by following the ways and means to reduce or stop the inflation at a certain point), and pointed out that the ( The first way that the State do is delete the zeros from the currency by changing the currency of the other free of zeros.) adding (increasing rates of inflation create economic problems in several of the country).
[

[

[BondLady] Iraq ambassador speaks of gratitude to US, meets with Marine casualty’s mom By Associated Press, Tuesday, March 29, 6:08 PM MONTPELIER, Vt. — Iraq’s ambassador to the United States talked about the price of war. Then he met a woman who’d paid it — with the loss of her son. In Vermont for a series of appearances, Samir Shakir Mahmood Sumaida’ie brought a message of gratitude and a plea for more U.S. investment in rebuilding his war-torn nation. The 66-year-old diplomat met with members of the Vermont National Guard over lunch Monday, spoke about democracy-building in postwar Iraq at St. Michael’s College on Monday night and met Tuesday with Iraqis who settled in Vermont as part of a refugee resettlement program before traveling to the Vermont capital to speak at the Statehouse. In a 20-minute speech book-ended by standing ovations, he told about 200 lawmakers and members of the public gathered in the House chamber that his country — where more than two dozen United States servicemen with ties to Vermont have died — will rise from the ashes. “Together with Iraqis, American soldiers— men and women — fought to free the country and to build a new political system which is based on freedom and human rights. Through you, I would like to express the gratitude of all Iraqis for the sacrifices made by so many American families. The sacrifice made by the families, those who lost loved ones. We will remember them forever as saviors,” he said, calling Iraq a permanent, faithful partner of the United States.
[
BondLady] Having helped liberate it, America should also share in the rebuilding the country’s infrastructure and educating its children, which will require the participation of international companies, he said. “But (the ones competing for contracts) are mostly from India, China, Italy, Turkey, Germany, not so much from the United States. The United States is the country that paid the highest price for Iraq to be turned around. We would like the United States to be at the front of the line, not at the end of the line. “We would like them to reap the benefits of their participating in Iraq,” he said. He said Iraq is no longer a war zone but “an opportunity country” that has boundless possibilities as a religious and cultural tourism destination. After his speech, state Rep. Vicki Strong approached him at the podium and introduced herself. Strong, R-Orleans/Caledonia, lost her son, U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Jesse Strong, 24, of Albany, in an ambush in Anbar Province. “He assured me his sacrifice was not in vain,” said Strong, who gave him a copy of her husband Nathan’s self-published book, “Thoughts for Jesse,” and chatted briefly with him as the chambers emptied out. “I just told him it was a privilege for my son to serve his country and help them take those baby steps of freedom. Actually, Jesse died securing the Iraqi polls for their very first free Iraqi election. When my son’s body was being shipped here to us, the Iraqi people stepped out of their homes for the first time to vote. “As much as we miss him and feel horrible grief, we feel proud,” she said afterward. Sumaida’ie said that with time, America’s sacrifices will gain more meaning. “I said to her that we are sorry and saddened of her loss. We will remember her son and all those who fell fighting for Iraq and our freedom. We also have made a lot of sacrifices and suffered a lot of losses, so we understand sorrow and grief. I also said to her that the way Iraq is moving, the way it will be in 10, 20 years from now, will vindicate all these losses, will give them meaning. These losses have not been made in vain,” he said.

BondLady] Iraqis and Americans want foreign troops to stay in Kirkuk Posted 30/03/2011 07:30 AM Kirkuk (Tim Arango): You want many parties in Kirkuk, the disputed province because of the oil-rich, American forces to remain in the city, longer than those identified by the U.S. President Barack Obama. Has interpreted the continuous clashes on the outskirts of the city west and south, the reasons for those wishes, and especially after the troops of the Kurdish coming from the north, on the bridge of the city, and behind the walls of mud brick of the mill abandoned, and within the «Hospice» of the poor on the outskirts of the Arab neighborhoods. The payment of ethnic conflict raging for years, within the city, to the intervention of high-level diplomatic figures, to calm the situation. Perhaps the telephone calls made by U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, the Kurdish leaders, such as prominent on this, as well as the presence of U.S. troops there. Confrontation did not turn to violence, as I think many people exactly because of the presence of U.S. troops. But these forces will leave the end of this year, if the current commitment schedules. The fear of many citizens of the city, that a withdrawal could lead to ethnic conflict, and possibly civil war.
[BondLady] Leaders of the Kurdish region, which enjoys autonomy, fled to the deployment of Kurdish forces known as «Peshmerga» last month, because of fears that the Arab militants attacked the peaceful demonstrations that have spread in the streets. But the local Arab population, diplomats and military Americans, as well as the Iraqi government, promised to spread this provocation to them, and felt that it was illegal. Kurdish officials said yesterday, that the Kurdish forces withdrew as part of a deal with the Americans and the central government, despite the words of the witness, in Kirkuk, said he saw troops in their positions, while a deputy in the Arab local council, some of the soldiers who had left. He expressed his Sheikh Burhan flowered; Arab member of the Kirkuk provincial council, like many of those interviewed here about his fears of the possibility of civil war after the departure of the Americans. He explained that some of the Peshmerga forces are still in their positions around Kirkuk, until yesterday, the first Monday, pointing out that the Arabs do not want to «U.S. troops leave the city».
[BondLady] In the ongoing debate in Washington and Baghdad, on the future of US-Iraqi relations after eight years of war, those defenders of the continued presence of U.S. troops after this year, including many diplomats and military personnel from both countries, cited in Kirkuk as an argument strong cast them out of the case. Perhaps the largest chapters of the American war in Iraq, which did not come to an end is the status of Kirkuk; old city, which are fighting around the three ethnic groups: Kurdish, Arab and Turkmen, all of the historical land claims eligibility and the oil that flows in it. Says Hassan Turan; member of Turkmenistan in the Council «as my point of view, the president wants Obama to win a second term, and wants to show the American people that he has maintained his promises, and this will affect the Kirkuk», saying «if he left the Americans, everything can happen». On the other hand Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, he could not make a decision to extend the American presence, because it was for his politically risky, because of that boxed with a mass of politicians loyal to cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, and they oppose any delay in the withdrawal of the U.S., they are at the same time constitute a guarantee of the owners of winning a third term. On the American side, do not defend diplomats and U.S. military about the need to stay in Iraq, but also that it includes the experts also urged the book written by 6 experts in Iraqi affairs, led by Kenneth Pollack of the Brookings Institution for Peace, to (create) peace-keeping forces in Kirkuk. The experts stressed that «the U.S. military mission, are to a large extent, more important than ever», and suggested that the remaining troops to be «a crucial alternative to the lost confidence, and contribute to the stability of the society». On the other hand, considered the report issued by the International Crisis Group on the first Monday, the spread of the Peshmerga «very disturbing development».
[BondLady] When those who were involved in trying to solve the problem of Kirkuk, in the extreme pessimism, they compare (case) with Bosnia and Rwanda, as the combined mixed socially, and politically divided, tragic violence which flared is historically unprecedented. When optimism, they cite the peaceful coexistence and difficult in Brussels between the French and the Belgians. In the building of the provincial council of Kirkuk, which lined up recently outside the U.S. armored vehicles, the ethnic groups are trying to resolve their differences through politics. But if democracy in Iraq is growing slowly, they are here in Kirkuk, moving at a slower pace. When municipal elections were held in other provinces, Kirkuk did not witness the elections, also has not been a referendum on the fate of the city in 2007, despite the fact that there is a constitutional provision to do so. According to Mr. Hassan Turan «There is no dialogue at all. We give our statements through the media and accuse each other, on Monday last, the fight throwing stones were exchanged between the Turkomans and Kurds in Kirkuk, a technical institute ». He resigned recently the governor of Kirkuk, and replaced Bcardi last American of Iraqi descent, has already living in Silver Spring, Maryland. He resigned also chairman of the provincial council, a Kurd, also, are expected to be replaced by Mr. Hassan Turan.
[BondLady] But the Council meeting last week showed the depth of ethnic and religious divisions in Kirkuk. When the Council was considering the appointment of Mr. Hassan Turan Sunni Turkmen, the rival Shiite Turkmen spoke against him, and came out in protest against the Kurds, this theatrical presentation of the political identities. And watch the American diplomat and two soldiers were the width of the rear seats. And Mr. Ahmed Askari, an ethnic Kurd who heads the security committee in the provincial council, for reconciliation, but his choice of words betrays another agenda, as do the map hanging on the wall, the perception of the allegations Kurdish lands wider located on the line up to Syria, Iran and Turkey.
[BondLady] Says the military «Let the (case) to the indigenous people of Kirkuk, and we will reach an agreement». And shows many Iraqis interested in comparing the historical disadvantages of the United States with respect to race relations, with the present Iraq is painful, in the ethnic and sectarian divisions. Concludes the military, saying «American president who is now black, and we are going about to learn democracy step by step, we will understand». When Abdul-Ali Salman The New York Times

He said that this occurs in the light of what happened after April 9, 2003 of the radical changes in Iraq, including writing a constitution and holding two elections, in addition to municipal elections in the governorates and the new legislation increased the salaries of staff, and raised the standard of living for all citizens, as well as openness to the world Arab, Islamic and international levels through the great expansion in its diplomatic missions throughout the world, and begun to invest in having fought a fierce war against terrorism, all this has caused the peoples of other Arab countries to the need for equality in Iraq, he said.
[
BondLady] In an interview for the “TOM” that what is happening in Egypt would be decided by the Egyptian people, a country is able to overcome adversity, and looks forward to progress through the political participation of each spectra, and that Iraq spent on the dictatorship of Saddam is already the region in the democratic experiment and the form of the Governments national partnership consecutive since the start of the election the truth in it, and it past in the implementation of the ambitious new government programs. He pointed out that Iraq is committed to international treaties and conventions signed with the countries of the world and its relationship with countries governed by mutual respect and non interference in internal affairs, and his is the case with the relationship with Egypt, where he respects the Supreme Council of the Egyptian armed forces agreements between Egypt and Iraq.
[
BondLady] He pointed out that Iraq responded to the request of Arab brothers the need to postpone the summit to the middle of next May because of the circumstances of the Arab region and not because of the unwillingness of Iraq to this matter, and that Iraq complete their preparations for hosting the logistical and administrative and security, pointing out that the Arab summit in Baghdad is the embodiment of Arab support for him, and opens a new page of Arab ties to Iraq after the Iraqis proved to the world that they seek peace and progress under the Government believes a national partnership to promote joint Arab action, and we want to return Iraq to the leadership role of the Arab League, being a founding member in 1945. And about the security situation witnessed by Iraq, confirmed that security prevails throughout Iraq since 2008, and what happens here and there from the bombing is a sign of bankruptcy and defeat our enemies, led by remnants of Al Qaeda and Saddam’s former Baath Party.

Addressing a joint press conference here at the end of the two-day meeting, Sheikh Dr Mohammad said His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was keen on receiving the Iraqi side of the committee out of sincere desire to build firm relationship with sisterly Iraq based on mutual confidence and neighborliness. We bet that the new democratic and open Iraq will be a helping factor for regional stability and security; we are sure of winning the bet,” Sheikh Dr. Mohammad said. As for the sticking points between the two neighbors, he said: “The agenda of the meeting included 12 items covering almost all bilateral issues.
[
BondLady] These issues include clear-cut international obligations that do not need explanation and to which Iraq is definitely committed; they include the maintenance of the border marks and compensations for Kuwait,” he noted. “There are other bilateral issues that need negotiation and mutual trust to reach a mutually-acceptable settlement; these include the issue of debts owed by Iraq to Kuwait,” he added. On his part, Zebari agreed that the debt issue is a bilateral one that is not included in the UN Security Council resolutions related to Iraq. “The just-ended meeting highlighted the need for developing mechanisms to tackle such issues and tacked almost all controversial issues. “I think the coming committee meeting, due in Baghdad, will be more important for solving the essential issues although the just-ended meeting is one of the most important meetings between the two sides since the ouster of the form er Iraqi regime (of Saddam Hussein),” he said.
[
BondLady] There are a range of crucial decisions that need to be made in order to pave the way ridding Iraq of the sanctions adopted under Chapter VII of the UN Charter during the defunct regime,” Zebari affirmed. “We have discussed Iraq’s commitments to the UNSC resolution 833 relating to the sovereignty and safety of Kuwait and the freedom of navigation at the maritime corridors as well as the compensations for farmers,” he added. The Iraqi minister noted that his delegation felt a sincere desire on the part of Kuwait to help his country get rid of the UN-imposed sanctions. He reaffirmed that the new democratic Iraq is totally different from the Saddamite one and seeks neighborly ties with sisterly Kuwait. The Iraqi top diplomat expressed gratitude for HH the Amir, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Dr. Mohammad for the warm reception and hospitality they offered to him and his entourage. — KUNA

[BondLady] Iraq’s Mortgage Bank raises personal credit for house building by each citizen to 60 million Iraqi dinars. 3/30/2011 9:59 AM BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq – Iraq’s Mortgage Bank has decided to raise the personal credit, granted for any citizen planning to build a house, to 60 million Iraqi dinars (US$53,000 approx), the Bank’s Director-General, Hussein Ahmed Tu’ma said on Wednesday.
[BondLady] “The Mortgage Bank has laid plans to activate the process of crediting, through raising the credit to double, i.e. from 30 million dinars to 60 millions, with keeping the percentage of interest on citizens at 2% of the total credit and with the same crediting period,” Tu’ma told the semi-official Al-Sabah newspaper. He said that the total area of each patch of land would be decreased to 90 square meters, instead of 100 meters as minimum, adding that the Finance Ministry plans to increase the Mortgage Bank’s capital to 75 billion (b) dinars, as the first stage and to 150 billions (b), next year.

[BondLady] Compensation for internally displaced Iraqis rose Tuesday, March 29th 2011 2:16 PM Sulaimaniya, March 29 (AKnews)- The Iraqi minister for Immigrations and Immigrants said government has decided to increase reimbursement for the internally displaced families. The sectarian violence that prevailed Iraq after the fall of Saddam Hussein regime in 2003, led many Shia and Sunni families, mostly from the central Iraqi provinces, leave their properties and homes behind to resettle in other areas across the country. Many also fled to the other countries.
[BondLady] Dindar Najman told AKnews this moment onward the internally displaced families who choose to return to their original place of residence will be issued three million Iraq Dinars (IQD)- almost 2,500 U.S. Dollars. Previously each family would take only 1 million IQD- nearly $854 the minister said. Doski advised the displaced families to return to their homes “because now their areas are secure.” The statistics by the ministry show that 198 Iraqi families, amounting to 1.177 million people, have been relocated inside the country. Some 90,000 more families are living in diaspora.
[BondLady] see this was 1 of the things the un wanted
[BondLady] they had to give enough to displaced iraqis who fled the country for 1 reason or another
[BondLady] to come home
[BondLady] and at 1st
[BondLady] they only wanted to give them what amounted to be a lil over 800.00 but in iqd [BondLady] well that wouldnt make them want to pack up from where they moved to and travel in some cases
[BondLady] great distances with there familys back to iraq
[BondLady] so they made it 3,000,000 iqd the eguivalant of 2,500.00 usd
[BondLady] so thats quite a bit better
[BondLady] and they need to do every thing they can to acomplish this as all iraqis have the right to there homeland and also to share in its wealth

[BondLady] Iraq strives enhancing banking system Text size By Saman Dazzayi Baghdad – The opinions of a number of Iraqi economists varied about the demands of the Iraqi Central BankIraqi Central Bank (ICBICB) to facilitate granting licenses to establish private banks in the country, especially with regard to the reduction of capital. Ali Kah Gih, the economist and the head of the Iraqi market center told AKnews that the economic situation in Iraq needs to activate the Law of the Central BankCentral Bank about money laundering and follow-up and lack of emphasis on the granting of licenses for financial companies in the establishment of private banks.
[BondLady] “All establishment controls in the regional countries depend on the basis of available capital which is found in the other banks and not on the basis of capital granted to the ICBICB and with large amounts.” “The central bankcentral bank’s efforts were important and effective to expand the performance of private banks but it still tough in the imposition of capital and dealing strictly in grating the establishment licenses.” The economic expert and member of the founding committee of the private banks Ibrahim al-Mikdadi told AKnews that “the private banks must be handled within the guidelines of financial monetary ie, on paper of economic policy provided by the founders and not by imposing 250 billion dinars as a basis for bank capital sector.” “The capital is supposed to be paid on three phases to develop the monetary structure of the bank and raise the level of its interaction with other banks.”
[BondLady] “The deal of central bankcentral bank with private banks should be focused on the ability of banking firms to deal with the system of computing and electronic communication between them and the banks of the world.” While the opinion of the economic analyst and the official of the Economic Section in Mada Foundation Abbas al-Ghalibi differed from the opinions of the previous economists and said that “the development of strict controls on private banks will improve their situation where a large part of them is similar to the exchange shops where they lack the most basic mechanisms of banking work.” “The central bankcentral bank is demanded today to reconsider the law of the establishment of banks and raise the ceiling of capital and work to provide supervising cover on financial and cash transactions.” “Iraq will witness soon wide investment and commercial movement and good banks must be available with capital and profits to improve the banking sector.”
[BondLady] The ICBICB assured on Saturday that it identified 250 billion Iraqi dinars as a minimum for the establishment of private banks in the country. The ICBICB announced last month that it will grant a number of licenses to establish private banks, stressing on that the increase in banks will enhance the economic role of the country. The Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation said last Thursday that the inflation rate increased during February by 0.3% since last January. A number of economists have fears from the continuing high rates of inflation in the country in the absence of mechanisms to reduce its increase by government institutions that are concerned in managing the economy in the country.
[BondLady] The ICBICB announced last October last that the rate of inflation in Iraq decreased by 2.7% if compared with last September and this encouraged the launch of liquidity for banks by 5% from the legal cash reserves in order to expand the lending operations and advance the development process. The main task of the ICBICB is to maintain the prices stability and the implementation of monetary policy, including exchange rate policies, managing the reserves of foreign currency, issuance and management of currency as well as regulating the banking sector.

[BondLady] PM: Iraqi dinar re-evaluation has to do with economic conditions Text size 28 February 2010 Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said on Sunday that the process to re-evaluate the Iraqi dinar has to do with economic conditions that have to be strengthened. “The Iraqi dinar has all the reasons to grow stronger thanks to an increase in revenues and development of the economy,” Maliki said in response to some questions through the National Information Center. “The government would not rush matters but would rather work on finding all the guarantees to render this measure a success. The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI)Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) is currently entrusted with drawing up a study on the whole issue and would give its decision soon,” said the Iraqi premier.
[BondLady] The IQD is in the forex market (un- marketable) It obviously will not… by Mark Duncan More Comments by the Community The Iraqi dinar’s exchange rate is suffering from low value against foreign currencies as a result of decades of wars and economic embargo that brought the local currency’s exchange rate to the rock bottom from three dinars per dollar in the late 1970s and 1980s to 3,000 dinars per dollar after the 1990 invasion of Kuwait, followed by a 13-year crippling sanctions regime. The exchange rate fell even more after 2003 to reach 1170 dinars per dollar due to the CBICBI’s policy of daily auction, in effect for more than five years now. The policy was lambasted by several economists on the grounds that these auctions do not give the real value of the country’s local currency
[BondLady] and yes for a few years i for sure know the exchange rate of the iqd does not show the real and true value
[BondLady] i can assure u it is worth a heck of a lot more than 1170
[BondLady] so yes the cbi auctions do not show the real value of the iqd

— KUNA
