Sunday’s Iraq-Kuwait committe meeting activated agreement between leaders

The Arshad Al-Salhi told (Voices of Iraq) that “the meeting of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti is, according to the agreement that took place between Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his counterpart Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah,” noting that “the meeting came to stand on a number of important issues that concern the two countries , including compensation and the demarcation of the border and the issue of missing persons and detainees, according to each individual competence and will continue these meetings until we reach a final settlement of the outstanding problems between the two sides. “
A Kuwaiti newspaper published on Sunday, said that the Kuwaiti-Iraqi Committee begins its work today in Kuwait, to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries.
She said Al-Watan newspaper quoted Deputy Iraqi Foreign Ministry, however, Abawi said, that “the meetings of the Iraq-Kuwait to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries will begin today,” adding that “the Iraqi Foreign Ministry is seeking through these meetings to expand the port’s maritime Iraq on the Persian Gulf.”
And Salhi, “The committee is composed of Iraqi agents and ministers of interior and exterior as well as agents from the Ministry of Water Resources is concerned ministries in this regard.”
Iraq has been under the provisions of Chapter VII after Security Council resolution 678 of 1990 after Iraqi troops entered Kuwait in August of the same year, where resolution allowed the international use of armed force to eject Iraq from there, and according to the provisions in Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
The UN Security Council decided to cancel the end of 2010 most of the resolutions imposing sanctions on Iraq, excluding those concerning the situation between Iraq and Kuwait, which related to compensation and the most important missing.
For his part, MP for the National Alliance on Alfalh the meeting with the Iraq-Kuwait is the first formal meeting
to resolve outstanding problems between the two sides, calling on Kuwaiti officials to deal positively with the Iraqi proposals.
He said Alfalh told (Voices of Iraq) that “the Committee government from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all outstanding issues between Iraq and Kuwait will be but a positive attitude this time is intended to solve the problem of compensation, and left the former regime of problems at the border and some of what is related to humanitarian situations,” explaining that “The committee which was formed between the two sides will be the first official meeting in this regard.”
“We hope to prevail a new relationship positive with the Kuwaitis away from the consequences of the past so we are open just in Iraq to solve all the problems and we ask our brothers the Kuwaitis Ieinon to turn this page and deal positively with the suggestions proposed by the Iraqi side so that we can get rid of this problem as soon as possible. “
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki visited Kuwait, (16-2-2011), on an official visit accompanied by a number of ministers and officials in the state, which he held meetings with his counterpart Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait and a number of ministers and Kuwaiti officials, The Chairman of the House of Representatives Osama Nujaifi cycle visit to Kuwait (19-3-2011) at the head of a delegation of members of parliament.
Visits between the two countries this year had been initiated by the Kuwaiti Prime Minister Nasser al-Sabah, when he visited Baghdad in the 01/12/2011, on an official visit during which he met Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, President Jalal Talabani and Parliament Speaker Osama Najafi and a number of other officials.
