BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Deputy Prime Minister Rouz Nouri Shawis discussed with Ad Melkert, the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), finalizing the formation of government, according to a statement of Shawis’ office.
“Shawis received today Melkert and his accompanying delegation, with whom he discussed the formation of the government and the security ministries file,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The two officials discussed also the disputed areas issue and the importance of solving the pending problems in accordance with the Iraqi constitution,” the statement added.
