April 6, 2011 Saudi King meets U.S. Defense Secretary
RIYADH, Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud met at his palace on Wednesday visiting U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and his entourage.
During the meeting Gates conveyed greetings of U.S. President Barack Obama and discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The talks also dealt with prospects of cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz along with other high ranking officials from both countries.
Earlier today Gates arrives in Riyadh for an official visit.
